Description

Our Wooden 2D Shapes Sorting Game is perfect for learning to recognise and name the most common geometric shapes. They feature 26 pieces (13 shapes with puzzle outline) with the name of each shape engraved in the NSW School Foundation Font. This game is perfect for learning the names and properties of each shape AND engages fine motor skills in fitting each shape into its tile.

A beautiful open-ended educational toy, our Wooden 2D Shapes Sorting Game can also be used to practice drawing and tracing the shape, as well as learning to write it. This not only helps your child recognise it, but produce it as well from memory.

It really is a special educational resource which will last for years to come.

Measuring 7cm per tile (shape inserts into tile).

Please note: Part of the beauty of natural timber is that grain will vary from piece to piece. Slight burn marks may be present and is a part of the engraving process. Adult supervision is required at all times. If damage occurs, discard product immediately.

    Amazing - Highly Recommend

Posted by Lou O on 30th May 2020

I received mine on Thursday and had them in my stage 1 classroom on Friday. They were an amazing help with the students drawing the shapes and assisted students with the spelling of shapes. They would be a resource that you can differentiate for many ability levels. The students all loved using them and They are amazing quality!! (The foundation print is great because it matches what the students are using at school). I would highly recommend parents and teachers investing in these.

    2D shapes

I purchased these for my 2.5yr old son, who is constantly on the move. These 2D shapes provide so many activities for him, for now we’re just using them as a puzzle matching game, he also traces the inside pieces and we are starting to point to Squares and circles! It is beautifully made and great quality.
